1. Purpose
These terms govern the contracting of the Basic, Standard and Premium visa packages (the “Packages”) offered by Mi Visa Colombia (the “Provider”) to foreigners who wish to apply for a Colombian visa (the “Client”). By paying for a Package, the Client accepts these terms in full.
2. Scope of each Package
Each Package includes exclusively the services marked as included in the comparison table of this page. Basic covers filing of the visa application form and an AI-powered profile analysis, based on the information and documents supplied by the Client, without lawyer review. Standard adds a 15-minute meeting with a lawyer, advice on requirements and visa type, representation and advice throughout the visa process, lawyer review of the application, responses to requests from the authority, fast processing and guidance to obtain the cédula de extranjería. Premium includes everything in Standard, extends the lawyer meeting to 45 minutes and adds drafting of document templates and scheduling of the cédula appointment.
3. Services not included
No package includes: administrative proceedings, safe-conduct (salvoconducto), in-person document pickup, obtaining documents, migration-movement certificates, translations, or any other service not listed above. These are quoted separately if needed. Government/consular fees are paid separately.
4. Government fees
Prices are expressed in US dollars and correspond only to the Provider’s professional fees. Study and issuance fees of the visa charged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería), cédula fees charged by Migración Colombia and any other government charge (“applicable fees”) are borne by the Client and paid directly to the authority.
5. No guarantee of approval
The decision to grant, deny or request additional documents for a visa belongs exclusively to the Colombian authorities, which have discretionary power. The Provider does not guarantee approval of any visa. AI analyses are informational and are not an official decision nor a substitute for legal advice.
6. Start of the service and application form
After payment, the Client must complete the application form sent on screen and by email. The service starts once the form is received. Delays in completing the form or supplying documents extend the timeframes accordingly.
7. Client obligations
The Client must provide truthful, complete and up-to-date information and documents, with apostille or legalization and official translation where required, and must respond promptly to the Provider’s requests. The Provider is not responsible for consequences derived from false, incomplete or late information.
8. Fast processing and timeframes
“Fast processing” means the Provider prioritizes the preparation and filing of the application once complete documentation is received. Response times of the authorities do not depend on the Provider.
9. Authority requests
In the Standard and Premium Packages, the Provider prepares responses to requests issued by the authority within the same application. Obtaining new documents remains the Client’s responsibility. In the event of denial, a new application or appeal is quoted separately.
10. Upgrades
The Client may upgrade to a higher Package before the application is filed by paying the difference.
11. Cancellation and refunds
The Client may cancel before the application form is submitted to the authority and before work has begun, and will be refunded the amount paid minus payment-processing costs. Once work has started or the application has been filed, no refunds apply. A visa denial does not give rise to a refund. Payments remain valid for 6 months; after that period no refund applies.
12. Power of attorney
Where needed, the Client grants the Provider a special power of attorney to file and follow up on the visa application on their behalf.
13. Confidentiality and data protection
Personal data and documents are handled confidentially and in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and our Data Processing Policy, solely to provide the contracted service.
14. Limited liability
The Provider’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the Package. The Provider is not liable for decisions, delays or regulatory changes of the authorities.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. For any matter not covered here, the Provider’s general Terms and Conditions apply.
