What is the Resident (R) visa?
For foreigners who wish to settle permanently in Colombia. Allows any lawful activity and grants an open work permit. Expires automatically after two consecutive years abroad.

- Migration movements certificate.
- Cover letter explaining income source.
- Cédula de extranjería for background check.
- Spouses/partners: Colombian's letter + ID + power of attorney.
- Social security verification may apply.
